Profile: Tyler tratten, Associate
Growing up in a family of lawyers, advocates, and activists, Tyler was immersed in the policy world from a very young age. Before joining the team at TrattenPrice, he spent years cultivating his skills in marketing and communications for a variety of fast-paced technology startups. Throughout his time in the tech industry, Tyler developed a deep understanding of how to build commonality between seemingly incompatible interests - and bring them together to accomplish something real.
One of his earliest projects with TrattenPrice was to manage the delicate alliance between large financial companies and consumer rights organizations who had teamed up to fight against predatory lenders. His combined skills in communication and policy helped the two disparate groups find consensus, ultimately resulting in taking the first steps toward landmark consumer protection legislation.
Outside of his work as a legislative advocate, Tyler has a passion for using his abilities to help others. While living in Austin, Texas, he worked with Habitat for Humanity to help construct new, safe homes for the most vulnerable members of his community. Besides working with his hands, Tyler loves to play soccer and learn new unique skills - like blacksmithing and woodworking.
