Advancement of Women’s Rights

TrattenPrice faced massive opposition from powerful, politically-connected entities when advocating for legislation that would give California’s workforce the ability to preserve their legal remedies when moving to a new job. They worked to build awareness of the issue by hosting actress and activist Jane Fonda at a panel in Sacramento to discuss women’s rights and to advocate on behalf of the bill.

The panel was rounded out by California’s First Lady, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, as well as representatives from the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements. Jena and Lea-Ann’s creative approach to bringing attention to their client’s sponsored legislation, as well as their relationships with key legislators and influencers, helped to move the needle and advance this critical piece of legislation.
